Current Projects

As part of my certificate in Anthrozoology, I am required to take a capstone course where I have the opportunity to work alongside my professor, Dr. Beth Daly, to design my own final project. My internship at Fauna will afford me a valuable experience that will help me with the creation of this final project since I will be under the guidance and supervision of primate communication scientist, Dr. Mary Lee Jensvold. Although I have not finalized my capstone focus, I will say that I am deeply inspired by the work of the Nonhuman Rights Project.  

I was so inspired by Bunny, the "talking" sheepadoodle, that I have decided to train my parent's standard poodle, Marlie, with the FluentPet button/hextile system. Follow my progress with Marlie on TikTok @theanthrozoologist or follow the #MarlieSpeaks hashtag on Instagram.
